I haven't really done any blog like thing since I was in high school, so this is once again really new to me again. But lately, I have been doing alot of photoshop stuff, and this is going to be a way to keep track of my progress.I have been doing Photoshop designing since I was in high school. It started out with a simple multimedia class that I took as an elective, but I really enjoyed working with Photoshop cause I was somewhat decent at it, and it came naturally to me. Ever since I came to college, it has been a great way for me to escape from my major which is really structured, math heavy, and objective. Photoshop has given me the opportunity to venture out of that world into something that is much more creative and less structured. I will try to post something new (or old, just not posted) every week.
Let's start off with an easy one. I call this one 'We Live It' This is actually a wall paper I made for my computer in January of 2010 after Alabama won its 13th National Championship.Since the 2009 season, the Alabama football slogan has been 'At some places they play football, at Alabama, We live it.' This may be the understatement of the century, cause sometimes its hard to believe that football is just a game here. The elephants are the official mascot of Alabama Athletics, with these painted elephants coming from an video that was shown before every 2009 home football game. The 2009 season was an awesome season with the Crimson Tide making it to the National Championship Game against the Texas Longhorns. After scoring a touchdown in the first half of the game, Heisman Trophy Winner Mark Ingram flashed his gloves to the television cameras in a pose that has been synonymous with the game ever since.
This is pretty much what I think a post will consist of from me. Its going to be relatively simple blog, no real deep thoughts or life altering posts (that's just not my style). Honestly I don't know how many people are actually going to ever see this blog, actually I don't really care. This is just a place for me to post up some of my work (if you consider it that) so that I can kinda see how I am improving (or not improving) as a graphic artist.....who is majoring in something completely different...
